January 29, 2010

We have done a bunch of nothing today!! Carlee called this morning and asked if we could keep Andy so she could go to the dr and we did. After he left Solomon and I watched tv and Tytus took a nap. Tytus slept from 8p-6a!! He is doing great!!
After Collin left yesterday Solomon's room was a mess so we cleaned it up today and now it looks great!
I hope tomorrow I get the house organized and clean.

Thank you Lord for my husband and two children. I have learned what true love is because of You and them.

January 28, 2010

Today I bought Solomon a new movie The Bernstein Bears and he was so excited. When he looked at the price he was so sweet about the $5.00 I had spent on the movie. He went to the computer and found the Capital One website on favorites and tried to add money to our account. He was so serious about making sure we had enough money. He then told me he wished he could give me $3,600.00. I love his sweet personality so much!!
Tytus will not go to sleep unless he is swaddled! He is 18 pounds and it is very hard to keep him swaddled. Today I tried to put him to bed without swaddling him and it DID NOT work. I finally went in his room to swaddle him and he fell asleep 30 seconds later.
Alan is just walking in the door from a very long day. He worked from 8a-9p!! I don't know where he finds the energy to do all that he does. He loves us so much and it shows on his face and in his actions!!
I am a lucky girl!!

January 15, 2010

We had a great day today. Aaron and Andrew Hickerson came over to play and Solomon had a great time. Solomon and Aaron played the Wii and in his room and got along great. Daddy was home this morning which was nice because he was able to help with the kids. It is nice to have him home. I wish we could win the lottery!!
Tytus was a little sick this week but was never really fussy. He started his first round of antibiotics (pink juice) and is already feeling better.
Tomorrow we are starting a new healthy lifestyle,

January 7, 2010

Today Tytus is 4 months old!! WOW how time flies!! Last night was much better for Ty Ty he slept from 10p-6:30a!!
Alan is working late tonight and both boys are sound asleep. We had a good day. Renee came by with Aaron and Andrew and they all played for a few hours. Solomon loves when kids get to come and play. He does such a good job of sharing his things with others. Tytus stayed awake the whole time they were here and then went down for a 2 hour nap. I love these children more than anything in the world. Tonight when I put Solomon to bed I told him I was sorry for something I had done earlier in the day. When I was finished I asked him if he could forgive me and he reached over, smiled and said put your arm over me then gave me a hug!!
I LOVE HIM!!!

How did I get so lucky?

January 6, 2010

Today we took Tytus to the Dr. for his 4 month shots. He cried and cried and it broke my heart. Solomon did not want to see him get his shot so he went and sat with the secretary until it was all over. After Dr. Derrick's office we came home picked up around the house played computer and the Wii.
There is an Arctic Freeze heading our way so everyone is trying to get ready for the cold weather. We are going to stay at Grannie and Paw Paw's house tomorrow. Alan has to work late on Thursday's so we want to make sure that we can all be together in case the roads have ice and can't travel to Lumberton. Solomon is so excited about our big sleepover. Hopefully we will all get good rest.

Dear God,
Thank you for my family. I love my boys more that words can ever say. I am so blessed and feel so in love with all three of them!!

January 5, 2010

Solomon went back to school today and had a great day. When I picked him up from school we came home and hung out around the house until Daddy came home.
Tytus is waking up a lot at night and we are trying to figure out why he is getting up so many times at night.

January 4, 2010

Alan had to go back to work today, and it was hard on all of us. I love when he is off of work and I love when he walks in the door from work. It is so comforting to have him here when we are all at home.
Solomon, Tytus, Grannie and I all went to the dump today to drop off the BAGS of stuff we got rid of after our cleaning spree. We then dropped Grannie off at home and went to the grocery store. Today was my first day to take both boys to the store all by myself!! It was perfect. Solomon held on to the buggy the whole time and Tytus did not make a peep. My fears are starting to get better.
We were hoping that Tytus would sleep all night due to the fact he was starting to get back on a schedule. Our hopes turned into a night of crying. This morning I asked Solomon if Ty Ty kept him up all night and he said, "No, did he keep you up all night?" I told Solomon all about our night. After I was finished he looked at me and said, "Momma you should have woke me up I would have got up with him last night!"
Solomon truly is one of the sweetest children I have ever met. Today while I was cooking dinner he asked me about the "small girl" who works at the bookstore. He wanted to know why she was so short. I tried to explain to him that God had made her special, but she probably felt sad sometimes because people looked at her and called her names. He then said why do people make fun of her I have always thought she was really pretty. He then asked me if we could go buy her a jewelry box like the one he bought me for Christmas. Times like these show me that I am doing things right. During the everyday hassel of going here and there I always worry that I have not done enough. I love the moments where I am able to see the time, work and prayers Alan and I have put into raising our children.

January 3, 2010

Our cleaning day is about to begin. We are going to get Tytus's closet cleaned and hopefully my closet. Solomon is up watching Fantastic Four cartoons and loving life. Tytus is sound asleep. Alan is just waking up after a long night of not being able to sleep.

Alan cleaned the attic and helped me with the rest of the house. After a long day of cleaning and organizing Alan and Solomon finally got to play Super Hero Squad on the Wii. Today they opened Juggernaut blue suit, Juggernaut loki, Night Crawler black suit, The Thing aka Da Ding and Sabertooth. They only have 1 more character to open and they are hoping it will be Spiderman! Tytus slept a lot today so I am really hoping this means he will sleep a lot tonight?!? He is so much like his brother. They are both happy children.

I am blessed!!

Dear God,
Thank you for this wonderful family you have given me. I am blessed beyond words. I pray that you will always help Solomon and Tytus to make wise decisions throughout their lives.
I thank you for Alan the man who loves me more than anything in the world. I have never met a better man. He is the PERFECT father to our boys. I ask that you continue to give us good health and safety.

January 2, 2010

We started cleaning and organizing today. We are on a mission to get this place cleaned up and in order. Tytus spent the night and stayed at Grannie's house all day. When he finally came home at 7pm he was so excited to see everyone, and really tired. Solomon was a great help today. He watched cartoons all day in his pj's and then went to Aaron's birthday party. At the party he hit the jackpot and won 100 tickets on one game!! Earlier in the day Solomon was selling cokes out of our refrigerator. He was so sweet and told me I did not have to give him money for my coke, but of course I had to give him money. I gave him 1 quarter, 1 nickel and a penny. When he and Alan went to buy Aaron's toy, we had told him he could not get a toy. As he was walking down the aisle he looked at Alan and said, may I buy a toy?? He then pulled out his 31 cents and handed it to Alan. Such a sweet moment. Alan of course bought the toy. Everyone is at home and ready for bed. Little Ty Ty is sound asleep and Solomon is locking down the house with Daddy. What a life I have....a husband who loves and takes care of me and our children more than anything in the world.
